John Deere 145, 146, 148 & 158 Pin Bucket to Deere 300/400/500 “Hook & Pin” Conversion

If you have a tractor with a John Deere 145, 146, 148 or 158 front end loader with a pin-on bucket and want to mount attachments that have the Deere 300, 400, or 500 series female link on it, this is the kit for you.  It will enable you to attach any Deere 300-500 series attachment on your 145, 146, 148 or 158 series front end loader.

Mounting the faceplate is easy, just remove the four pins that hold the bucket on and back away.  Then, use those same pins to mount the new faceplate on the loader.  It’s that simple!

Making the bucket compatible with the new faceplate requires a bit of welding.  First, torch off the old pin-on bucket hangars (where the loader attached to the bucket).  Then weld the two-piece female quick attach plates to your bucket.  Now your 145, 146, 148 or 158 front end loader is quick attach and will accept any attachments that mount on 300-500 series loaders.  It opens up a whole new world of versatility with your John Deere tractor and loader!
